Kristie has been Unit 9's Board Treasurer since January 2023 and has thoroughly enjoyed both the role and meeting neighbors she might not have otherwise. Being a member of DRRH since 1999, she is very passionate about the park, and maintaining a healthy cash flow for Unit 9's finances. She has a 30+ year background in both Finance and I.T. and has/does serve as a Board member for numerous non-profit organizations. She ran her own non-profit several years ago which introduced kids in under-served areas to healthier outlets by introducing them to several outdoor activities they otherwise would not have opportunities to experience.
Richard bought his home in this great community, with his parents, in 1999, who lived here year-round. He was in the United States Navy until 2015 when he retired as a Chief Petty Officer with over 21 years. He visited often in the ensuing years during his time in the Navy, and truly enjoys everything the neighborhood has to offer. He returned to Unit 9 after retirement to live here full time, and recently completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. Richard currently works for a Biotechnology company in Bend and believes his time in the navy provides ample qualifications to be the HOA Board President. His attention to detail, excellent communication skills, integrity, and ability to manage will be an asset to the HOA board. He will use these skills to improve the HOA by listening to the people and working to ensure we are following what the community wants and needs from the HOA. As a board member he will work for the constituents to manage the HOA in a professional, ethical, and accountable way. He has been looking to get involved in the community and would be honored if the Board and Community would consider voting him onto the HOA board as President.
Andrea and her husband have been Unit 9 residents for 12 years and have two teenage boys. They enjoy skiing, snowboarding, surfing, and river rafting. Originally from Alaska and Idaho, Andrea has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and spent several years as an analyst and trader on Wall Street. She and her husband have owned diverse businesses including a fishing lodge, a surfing and fishing business, and a disaster recovery company. Presently she is involved in multiple Oregon enterprises including co-owning Red Chair Real Estate. She and her husband have also built a few homes in the neighborhood and acted as general contractors for all of the projects. That experience has been valuable to her as she is familiar with what it takes to develop a bare piece of land and build a home on it in the neighborhood. She is enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the Board, and promises to work hard, be fair to all, and be professional.
Kelly has been part of the DRRH community since 2014. She lives full-time in the Portland area and spends a lot of time over at her property in DRRH during the summer months. Kelly is recently retired—she spent most of her career working in advertising as a producer and most recently owned and operated a mobile dog grooming business.
Kelly is looking forward to doing some traveling, spending more time in Central Oregon and becoming more involved in the DRRH Unit 9 community.
Miranda Wells has lived full-time in DRRH 9 for about 5 years. She has had two kids attend the Three River School and one that will be starting a few years. Miranda currently works as a project manager in civil engineering which makes her a good resource for regulations and processes and just overall - getting things done. Miranda is self-proclaimed fun to be around and says knows how to through a good get together!
A few things she would like to focus time on are:
-Working with the community to improve the CC&Rs
-Working with the community to improve the park
-Shifting focus in the community towards working together and not against each other
